As with most handmade jewelry it is recommended to not get any water, moisture, or body products, such as perfumes or lotions, in order to maintain the quality of your piece. All metals wear and tarnish with time and it is not the responsibility of te artist if your piece tarnishes or fades as most metals like copper and brass will naturally patina with age.
